What do you provide / What do the houses have?

  • Paper Goods.  There are ample paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper and tissues throughout.  There is also frequently a supply of plastic wrap, tin foil, napkins and other paper goods left by previous guests.

  • Soaps.  We provide bar soap and liquid handsoap, dish, dishwasher and laundry detergent, but no other toiletries or hair dryers.

  • Kitchen.  The kitchens are stocked with all basic supplies, as space allows. Each home has a Keurig and traditional coffee pot. Larger homes have more cooking and baking supplies. If you find something missing, or ask ahead for something unique, we can almost always accommodate.  There is usually salt, pepper and miscellaneous spices.  We try not to keep any cooking items on hand that have expiration dates.

  •  Grill.  All homes have a gas or charcoal grill, and details are included when booking is confirmed.

  •  Outside Shower.  All properties have outside showers, larger homes have larger outside showers, some with dressing areas and sinks.

  •  Games & Toys.  There are a variety of classic board games, cards, coloring books, bocce balls, 4-square supplies and unique games in all homes.  We also have a selection of books to borrow/trade scattered throughout.

  • Chairs & Umbrellas.  There may be beach chairs left by previous guests, but if they are broken, we try to dispose of them.  There is a beach stand at the end of most dune entrances where you may rent chairs and umbrellas daily or weekly.  When you rent weekly, the shack girl will set them up for you in the location of your choice first thing each morning.  The shacks also offer cold drinks, snacks and hot dogs.  Most of the shack girls are local students, and they are a great source of info on nightlife and babysitters.
